You can ask HKC Hospital (Hyderabad Kidney Centre), a unit of JVP SUPER SPECIALITY HOSPITALS PVT LTD, to delete personal information we hold about you. This page explains how to make a request, what we can delete, and what we must keep by law.
How to request deletion
- Email contact@hkchospitals.co.in with the subject line “Data deletion request”. You can also hand in a written request at the hospital front office.
- Include your full name, the phone number or email address you used with us, and your patient ID if you have one.
- Tell us what you want deleted. For example: “all WhatsApp messages and enquiries”, “my phone number from appointment reminders”, or “all my data”.
- If the request is for a patient who is a minor, or for someone else, include proof that you are their parent, guardian or authorised nominee.
We may ask you to confirm your identity before deleting anything, so that no one can delete your information without your permission.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your request within 48 hours and give you a reference number.
- We complete the deletion, or explain what we cannot delete and why, within 30 days.
- We confirm by email or phone when it is done. You can check the status at any time by quoting your reference number.
What we can delete
- Enquiries, messages and attachments you sent by WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, email or this website that did not become part of a medical or billing record.
- Your contact details from appointment reminders and other communications.
- Any other information we hold only on the basis of your consent and no longer need.
What we must keep
Some records must be kept for set periods by law, even if you ask us to delete them. These include medical records, pharmacy prescription registers required under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and the NDPS Act, records for medico-legal cases, and billing, payment and tax records required under company, income-tax and GST law. We keep these securely, use them only for the purposes the law allows, and delete them when the retention period ends. Our Privacy Policy explains these periods.
